Hawkers Go Digital

A stall owner has implemented QR codes to accept digital payments under the Hawkers Go Digital initiative

Thank you for your support!

Under the Hawkers Go Digital Programme, the Government subsidises the 0.5% MDR1 incurred by stallholders on the first $20,000 of e-payment transactions per stall per month.

To support stallholders already on the programme as they transition to a non-subsidised payment model, the Government will provide the MDR subsidy for a final 6 months, until 30 June 2026. This only applies to stallholders onboarded to the HGD Programme by 31 December 2025.

New stallholders who wish to adopt the SGQR solution from 1 January 2026 onwards will be subject to the prevailing MDR rate without any subsidy.

Stallholders are encouraged to continue accepting e-payments for consumer convenience and operational efficiency.
