Digital TV Assistance Scheme

The DTV Assistance Scheme was implemented in 2014 to help low-income households make the switch to digital TV so that they can continue to watch their favourite free-to-air TV programmes. In 2018, Dr. Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister for Communications and Information announced that IMDA will offer a DTV Starter Kit to all Singaporean HDB households which do not subscribe to Pay-TV, thus helping these households continue to enjoy local free-to-air TV programmes after analogue TV signals are switched off on 31 December 2018.
